The 60-second answer

Group outings die in the planning. Eight people, four chats, no decisions, everyone defaults to "the usual place." PlanADate's Group mode fixes this: type your city, group size, budget per person, and the vibe — and you get one real plan with venues that fit a group, real costs, parking notes, and a Plan B. Free for your first three plans.

Built for friend groups, families, and teams of 4–20.

Why group plans break

  1. Nobody wants to be "the planner"
  2. Splitting bills at fancy places is brutal
  3. Half the group hates the venue you picked
  4. The good places don't take groups of 8 without a reservation
  5. Two people back out at 5pm

PlanADate handles 1–4 directly. (#5 is on you.)

If your group is a family — kids, grandparents, mixed ages — switch to Family mode. Same engine, different defaults: kid-friendly venues, earlier timing, easier parking, no surprises on dietary restrictions or noise levels.

Frequently asked

How big a group does it support?

Most plans work for 4–20. Beyond 20 you'll want explicit reservations, but you can still use PlanADate to pick the venues.

Will it find places that take groups without a reservation?

The AI filters for venues that historically take walk-in groups, but for 8+ people we always recommend calling ahead. The plan includes the venue's phone number for exactly this.

Can I share the plan with the group?

Yes — every plan generates a shareable link plus a text-ready summary you can drop straight in the group chat.

Does it work for kids' birthdays / family events?

Yes — switch to Family mode and you'll get age-appropriate venues, earlier timing, and easier logistics.

Is it free?

First 3 plans are free, no credit card. After that, $9.99/mo or $2.99 per one-off plan.
