This Privacy Policy explains what information PlanADate ("we," "us," or "our") collects when you use planadate.app, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We've kept it short and in plain English on purpose.
What we collect
- Account information. If you create an account or sign in, we collect your email address and basic profile details from our authentication provider. We use this to save your plans and manage your membership.
- Planning inputs. When you generate an itinerary you give us details such as your city or zip code, date, time, group size, budget, and the vibe you want. We use these inputs to build your plan, and they may be processed by our AI provider to generate suggestions.
- Saved and shared plans. Plans you save or share are stored so that you — and anyone you send a share link to — can view them.
- Location. If you use the "near me" feature and grant permission, your approximate location is used once to find nearby venues. We do not track your location in the background.
- Analytics and cookies. We use cookies and analytics tools such as Google Analytics to understand how the site is used so we can improve it. These collect things like pages visited, device type, and general region — not the contents of your messages.
- Payment information. Subscriptions are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number; Stripe processes payments securely on our behalf.
How we use your information
We use the information above to generate and save itineraries, operate and improve the service, process payments, respond to support requests, and keep the platform secure. We do not sell your personal information.
Third-party links and affiliate partners
PlanADate includes third-party affiliate links to partners such as 1-800-Flowers, Fandango, Uber, and Lyft. When you click an affiliate link that partner may set its own cookies and collect information under its own privacy policy, which we do not control. Cookies and your choices
Most browsers let you block or delete cookies in their settings. Blocking analytics cookies will not break core planning features. You can also opt out of Google Analytics using Google's official browser add-on.
Data retention and your rights
We keep your account data while your account is active. You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data at any time, and you can delete your account from your dashboard or by emailing us. We will delete or anonymize your data when it is no longer needed.
Children
PlanADate is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "last updated" date above. Continued use of the service after changes means you accept the updated policy.
